When you feel amazing — verses for celebration
Joy is worth marking down as much as sorrow. Writing the good days gives your future self proof of them.
“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
“He will rejoice over thee with joy… he will joy over thee with singing.”Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV)
When you feel good — verses for gratitude
Ordinary contentment is a gift. These verses turn a good day into thanksgiving.
“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks.”1 Thessalonians 5:16–18 (KJV)
“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”Psalm 103:2 (KJV)
When you feel meh — verses for the flat days
Numb is a feeling too. On the days you feel nothing much, Scripture doesn't demand enthusiasm — it offers steadiness.
“His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”Lamentations 3:22–23 (KJV)
“Be still, and know that I am God.”Psalm 46:10 (KJV)
When you feel down — verses for heavy hearts
God does not keep His distance from sadness. He moves toward it.
“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
When you're struggling — verses for anxiety and fear
For the seasons when the weight is real: these are promises, not platitudes.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee.”Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
A list can't read your day
Lists like this one help — but your Tuesday is more specific than a category. “Anxious” about a diagnosis and “anxious” about a wedding toast need different words from God. That is why we built verse discovery around what you actually write, not a tag you tap.
Verses chosen for your words, not a keyword
Write a few honest lines, pick your mood — Amazing, Good, Meh, Down, or Struggling — and receive two to three Bible verses that fit what you expressed. Each comes with an explanation of how it relates to your entry, a first-person prayer, and encouragement that knows the difference between celebrating and struggling.
How to use these verses (so they stick)
- Read the whole chapter. A verse out of context comforts for an hour; a verse in context changes how you see the situation. In the app, tap any verse to read its full chapter in the New Living Translation (or NTV in Spanish).
- Write your response. Two sentences: what the verse says, and what you want to say back to God.
- Keep the one that found you. Set it as your Verse of the Day and put it on your Lock Screen widget so it follows you around.
